Defensive back Alfonzo Dennard of the New England Patriots was arrested and accused of driving drunk in Lincoln, Neb., where he once starred as a defensive back for the Cornhuskers. Dennard, 24, was pulled over just before 2 a.m. and failed a field sobriety test, the police said.
In April, Dennard was sentenced to 30 days in jail and two years of probation for assaulting a police officer in Lincoln. His lawyer from the previous case declined to comment.
