The 12-year-old amateur Ye Wocheng of China, the youngest player to compete on the European Tour, missed the cut at the China Open in Tianjin. He finished 14 over par after a pair of 79s. A 16-year-old, Dou Zecheng, did make the tournament cut with a two-under total. Mikko Ilonen of Finland tied the course record with a nine-under 63 for a three-shot lead.
¶ Ariya Jutanugarn, 17, held her lead in the L.P.G.A. Tour's Kingsmill Championship in Williamsburg, Va. Her even-par 71 left her at seven under, a shot ahead of Stacy Lewis and Angela Stanford. (AP)
