The White Sox announced they were promoting Ken Williams from general manager to executive vice president and moving Rick Hahn from assistant general manager to senior vice president and general manager. Williams is handing over the day-to-day operations to Hahn after a 12-year run in which the White Sox were consistent contenders and won the World Series in 2005.
